The Say Yes Guilford board of directors is pleased to announce Wendy Poteat as the new Chief Executive Officer. She will begin her role on June 3, 2019.

A total of 1043 Guilford County Schools’ students finished the 2018 fall semester at colleges with support from Say Yes Guilford and its partners.

During the 2017-18 school year, Say Yes Guilford contributed approximately $1.37 million in tuition scholarship funding to Guilford County Schools (GCS) graduates.

Seven Say Yes Guilford scholars are set to receive a $10,000 scholarship as they attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) this fall.

The Say Yes to Education National organization and Guilford County community leaders have announced that they have reached an agreement to accelerate local control of the chapter.

Starting with students entering college in the fall of 2018, Say Yes Guilford is offering a limited number of scholarships to eligible Say Yes scholars admitted to HBCU’s.
